Budapest Stock Exchange

Last year we launched our new publication, the BÉT50, to present 50 Hungarian businesses that have already achieved successful in their own fields, but are less widely known by the general public or even by regular consumers of business news, and are what can be termed the hidden treasures of the Hungarian economy. These inspiring company stories can serve as an example for all Hungarian business owners and company directors with a vision of dynamic growth.

Normally - at least on this side of the Leitha - businesses, more specifically SMEs, are the drivers of the economy. For a long time however, the root of the problem in Hungary lay - and perhaps still lies - in the country’s dual economy.

Medium size companies, and family businesses contribute significantly to the national economy, but they are often content to stay out of the limelight. The BÉT50 celebrates these exceptional companies and the successful entrepreneurs or families behind them. It is an honor for EY Advisory Ltd to participate in the compilation of this important and inspiring publication, a great initiative of the Budapest Stock Exchange.
