Renewed cooperation between the Budapest Stock Exchange and ELITE
18 Sep 2024In 2024, the Budapest Stock Exchange (BSE) is renewing its partnership with ELITE, Euronext Group's European network of private SMEs which accelerates growth and access to private and public capital markets. The partnership continues to help Hungarian small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) access ELITE’s outstanding pan-European community, state-of-the-art business development trainings and unique capital raising opportunities. This milestone was marked by a special event during which a BÉT Mentor educational day, focusing on SME funding, was topped by an ELITE workshop.

The first euro-based share issuance on BSE: Shopper Park Plus rang the bell
21 Nov 2023The first ever Euro-based share issuance on the Budapest Stock Exchange has successfully been concluded. Through an initial public offering (IPO), Shopper Park Plus raised a total of 37.2 million Euros in capital, placing its shares into the BSE Premium Category. Shopper Park Plus manages a significant retail real estate portfolio in the region, comprising of 18 units. It aims to become the owner and operator of the biggest shopping park in the region in the medium term, and going public could do a lot to help it achieve this goal.

Budapest Stock Exchange continues to build its Eastern links
12 May 2023The Budapest Stock Exchange has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Mongolian Stock Exchange (MSE), which focuses on building links and knowledge sharing between the two capital markets. The agreement is another important step in BSE's efforts to build international links, including with Asia. The MoU has been signed the parties in an online ceremony.

Budapest Stock Exchange and China Construction Bank sign Memorandum of Understanding
21 Apr 2023The Budapest Stock Exchange and China Construction Bank have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aiming at building links and sharing knowledge between the Hungarian, Central European and Chinese capital markets. The agreement is an important milestone in the Hungarian-Chinese capital market cooperation, which has been ongoing for a number of years. The signing ceremony, which took place at the headquarters of the Stock Exchange, was attended by an eight-member delegation from China Construction Bank led by Tian Guoli and by Budapest Stock Exchange executives.

Wizz Air shares start trading on the BETa market of the Budapest Stock Exchange
17 Dec 2020Wizz Air Holdings Plc.’s shares are now available on BSE’s “BETa Market”, an alternative platform of the Budapest Stock Exchange. The BETa platform offers the opportunity to trade securities of large European companies. As a result, the shares of the international airline, which has Hungarian origins, can be accessed without currency conversion through investment providers. Settlement is in HUF, and OTP Bank will act as market maker.

The Hungarian Multi-Program has reached hundreds of SME leaders
09 Apr 2020The outreach event series of the Hungarian Multi-Program has concluded its first season held between January and March 2020, reaching over 200 interested entrepreneurs. During the seven occasions held in different Hungarian cities, leaders of the Ministry for Innovation and Technology, along with the Head of Issuers Acquisitions of the Budapest Stock Exchange, presented the available business development opportunities such as the ELITE program.

GPW launches Three Seas Exchanges Index
04 Sep 2019Exchanges of the Three Seas region signed a letter of intent concerning a new index CEEplus. The launch of the index was officially announced in the presence of Minister of Investment and Economic Development Jerzy Kwieciński at the 29th Economic Forum in Krynica Zdrój. The index portfolio will include the largest and most liquid stocks listed on the exchanges of the Visegrad Group countries, Croatia, Romania and Slovenia; the index will be calculated by GPW. The index will be the underlying of a passive fund managed by TFI PZU.

AutoWallis shares now listed in Premium category
25 Jun 2019Less than five months after having its new shares listed on the stock exchange, the AutoWallis shares are already traded in the Premium category of the Budapest Stock Exchange. Since spring, the automotive stock exchange company has been listed in the BUX and BUMIX, and certain FTSE indices as well. With the category change, the AutoWallis strategy announced in May follows its planned course, which could result in a robust growth in the next 10 years via organic growth and acquisitions, with the aim of becoming a major mobility service provider of the Central and Eastern European region.
